What started out as a group of teachers and practitioners that decided to form a professional organization for media and communication educators and workers has now grown to become the largest and most dynamic association of its kind in the country.
The Philippine Association of Communication Educators Foundation Incorporated looks back at its 38 years of existence with profound gratefulness to the men and women who became part of it, served its Board, opened doors and opportunities, challenged and engaged its practices and principles and strengthened and solidified its vision and mission to be of service to the growth and development of its members and the various communication and media disciplines.
PACE shall strive to continue to identify and conceptualize, coordinate and execute meaningful projects and programs for uplifting the ethical practice of communication and media education. Among the priorities of the current PACE Board are to:
- Provide Professional Training & Development opportunities for our members
- Amend our Constitution and By-laws to make it relevant and responsive
- Collaborate with Partner Institutions & Organizations on shared advocacies
- Expand our Institutional & Individual Membership base
With these key strategic targets, PACE enjoins its individual and institutional members to take active involvement in any of its seven regular committees or to provide other forms of support that can create new possibilities for the organization.
As PACE celebrates this milestone, let it be known that its commitment to the advancement of the communication and media teaching profession shall continue to be the fuel that will inspire it to engage and embark on more creative programs and projects in the future. It is indeed great to be 38, but it is even greater to know that the best is yet to come.
