The Philippine Association of Communication Educators (PACE) launches its 50th anniversary celebration during the Pinoy Media Congress (PMC) on April 24, 2025 at the University of Makati. The Board of Trustees, led by PACE President Mark Lester del Mundo Chico, officially launched the organization’s golden celebration by unveiling its logo, inspired by half a century of professionalism and forward-thinking in innovating the communication landscape. Commencing with PMC, the anniversary celebration will include a teachers’ training in film production and film education in July, in partnership with the Film Development Council of the Philippines, and will culminate at the University of the Philippines Los Baños on October 23-25, 2025, through the Communication and Media Studies Conference, PACE of the Future Student Camp, and gala dinner. “To honor the legacy of our past leaders and those who built PACE to be what it is today means that we also honor those who continue to strengthen its foundations,” Chico remarked. As a witness to the sterling achievements of PACE over the past five decades, the teachers who help PACE achieve its mission and who show their commitment to excellent communication, education, and practice for the Filipino were recognized on stage. CMSC-PFSC will carry the theme “#PACE50: Empowering Voices in Emergent and Divergent Spaces.” PACE invites communication professionals, practitioners, scholars, and students to submit abstracts for CMSC 2025. These flagship PACE programs are platforms to explore the potential of physical, digital, or conceptual spaces and their power to amplify unrepresented voices and foster an inclusive representative environment.
