PACE forms the PH Alliance of Media and Communication Students

The Philippine Association of Communication Educators (PACE) conducted a follow-up consultation meeting with student leaders to form the Philippine Alliance of Media and Communication Students (PAMCS) during the Pinoy Media Congress 2026 held on April 30, 2026, at Assumption College San Lorenzo.

Representatives of student organizations from media and communication schools nationwide came up with a shared vision and mission, as well as the organizational mechanics of the alliance. This bottom-up approach to ideation, facilitated by current and former PACE officers Reginald Gonzales, Mark Lester del Mundo Chico, Generoso Pamittan, Jr., and Marco Polo, produced clear goals that promote synergy among student organizations.

These included the creation of an accreditation system through which member student organizations would have access to PACE’s wide network of experts, and the provision of guidance for collaborative projects among members. “Collaboration is a creative response to resource constraints among student groups and is also our core practice,” stressed Reginald Gonzales, PACE President.

“These students are the future of PACE and the media and communication industry. Providing them with greater access to quality learning and training resources is one way of addressing the need for more learning opportunities,” said Chico, PACE Ex-Officio.

The alliance has been a long-time dream of PACE, which had its initial conceptualization meeting with select student leaders in October 2023 during the Communication and Media Studies Conference-PACE of the Future Student Camp held at the Lyceum of the Philippines Cavite.
